WELCOME HOME

Result of the Alternative Forms of Creative Curatorship programme at the Higher Institute of Art, Cuba. March 2016.

I performed and created an installation in collaboration with the artist Julivic Márquez to explore the idea of inhabiting a space/home. Using blindfolds, we led the audience to a house by the sea where they left their own footprints and used materials to create their own work within the space. This project was inspired by notions of collective memory, relational art and the idea of being present and mindful “here now”.
